Cruzinha The most beautiful and popular coastal walk of Santo Antaõ is the one from Ponta do Sol to Cha d’Igreja. During your walk you will discover small picturesque mountain villages such as Fontainhas, Corvo, Cruzinha ... that overlook the Atlantic Ocean. The view that you will have of the ocean, the mountains and the rocks during your excursion is wonderful. Be sure to keep your eyes open, as there is a chance that you will see turtles, dolphins and even whales.	The West The western part of the island has remained the most authentic and is ideal to do as a full-day tour. First you will be driven on the old paved roads from the north to Porto Novo with breathtaking views of the beautiful, but also strange landscape on the way. It is possible to visit the plateau of Lagoas. Forestry and goat cheese production are the main sources of income here. Then you can discover the bizarre rock formations of Ribeira das Patas and much more.
Cova de Paúl The descent from the crater of Paúl is a very popular walk in Santo Antão. During this walk you can see the whole valley of Paúl. The walk starts at the crater of Paúl, which is more than 1300 metres above sea level, and you can choose the end point yourself. You can choose to stop on the road or continue the walk until you reach the sea. The duration of the descent therefore depends on the walk.	Aguas das caldeiras - Ribeira da Torre - Xôxô The walk to Xôxô begins at the highest point of the road at around 1500 m above sea level. During your walk you will encounter several forests, unique landscapes, small beautiful villages, a waterfall and more.
The green part A beautiful trip with spectacular views over both coasts, north and south. You will walk over a ridge with beautiful mountain views on both sides. These mountains are partly very desert-like: bare, with yellow, red and orange colors. It's a rocky area where the last part runs along villages, fields and a green river bed.
